Tartu in Light︱TAVA is a biannual architectural lighting and light art festival.
Over four incredible nights in October the festival takes over the city centre and banks of river Emajõgi in Tartu, transforming public spaces, galleries and Estonian National Museum grounds with spectacular artworks and captivating live shows by Estonian and international artists. The main events of TAVA2021 will take place on October 27-30, 2021. The workshops and the side program will create a festival lasting almost a month.

The main program of the festival consists of international workshops, outdoor installations, a conference, a Lightfair and indoor exhibitions. In addition, smaller-scale satellite programs will be organized in collaboration with culture organizations and companies of Tartu.

The aim of the festival is to bring together professional light artists with students, producers with consumers, citizens with guests and draw citizens from their homes to the streets, and bring foreign guests to Tartu.
Each time the festival attracts thousands of people, who come to marvel at the light sculptures and enjoy outdoor concerts.
