The light festival Allt ljus på Uppsala takes place during three weeks in November and gathers more than 100 000 visitors. The Nordic darkness this time of the year, makes the light festival a popular event. The festival has been arranged every even year since 2008 and as of 2018 the light festival is arranged annually. Allt ljus på Uppsala is arranged by the Municipality of Uppsala and Uppsala City in collaboration with artists, installation hosts, partners and co-organisers. Destination Uppsala project manages the festival and is in charge of marketing for the event.
