With a final degree from the Department of Translation Studies at the University of Graz and years of practice in advertising companies during her studies, Birgit has been employed by the BÜHNEN GRAZ, an organisation incorporating the theatres and stages of Graz that are under the ownership of the municipality and the federal province of Styria.

In the beginning establishing loyalty schemes for frequent visitors, impartation and theatre education programmes for schools, implementing market research, developing marketing strategies and stimulating the use of new and social media she finally was assigned to develop a new programme for bringing art into the public space and thus closing the gap for those, who had not come into contact with art so far.

Since 2015, Birgit organises and curates KLANGLICHT, the festival of sound and vision, that has developed into Austrias biggest light festival within the last years, showing all together 64 artistic installations in Graz, Austria and giving proof, that art does have the power to move and emotionalize large crowds of people.
