After studying cinema and directing a few short films, Antoine Manier created Les Rencontres Audiovisuelles in 1998.

Rencontres Audiovisuelles is historically specialized in short films and animated movies, and developed its skills in video-mapping in 2010, and create the Vidéo Mapping European Center

Rencontres Audiovisuelles organize a lof of screenings and film literacy in the Haut de France region, North of France : International Short Film Festival, Fête de l’Animation (Animation festival), Ciné-Soupe (traveling program of short films in 50 cities), various screenings and workshops, and has opened l’Hybride in 2007, the only cinema dedicated 100% to short film in France.
